Phamous Pholks Furniture Buddies, a product of PhunkyBall Photo Art Pillows
Steve Long & PhunkyBall 17& LLC
Tell us about your business. We originally started in 1991 under the trade name PilloBall, making cloth covered and stuffed footballs and basketballs in school colors using silk screen printing, long before the technology existed to do what we do now. Today, our photo-realistic pillows are manufactured using a superior 4-color dye-sublimation fabric printing process that covers our exclusive, patented & patent-pending shapes. Three years ago we started using lighter-weight, less bulky foam insert pieces. These are high-quality, heirloom-collectible "picture perfect" pillows that are autograph ready, perfect for the couch, chair, bed, or passenger car seat! Or take them to your favorite concert or sporting event! We own other patented shapes not displayed here, and we have created new graphic concepts & uses for our products, such as the race car three-piece sitting pillow. We will also start producing & selling promotional products - clothing, ball caps, etc - featuring our unique logos.
What makes your business stand out?Phamous Pholks products are seemingly simple, but surprisingly sophisticated. The patent-pending three-piece sitting pillow will be offered in two lengths initially. The patented "Torso" (upper body) and car shape pillows (both patented) will be offered in three heights/lengths - 15", 19", and 24". The startling photo-real quality of our full-sized sitting human figures cause many double-takes. There are no limitations to the variety of images that can be photographed for our pillows - singers, athletes, movie stars, etc., with their permission. Limited edition collector pillows will be offered. The Phun Pholks at Phamous Pholks believe that the purpose of life is to help others. Over the years, we have produced and donated hundreds of celebrity products to worthy charities, many of which were autographed by the various celebrities. We will continue to support charities supported by celebrities. The people used for the photos in the products displayed have all signed releases.
What's the best business advice you've received?Keep going. Never quit, never give up on your dream.
