Food,

Tell us about your business.

Katie Hamilton Shaffer is a wine country entertainer, chef, philanthropist & vintner in Napa Valley. When asked as a kid what she wanted to be when she grew up, it was either a professional soccer player or Martha Stewart -Tom-Boy to hopeful entertainer. Moving to the Napa Valley over 10 years ago, she launched her first wine company which was acquired after only 3 years, allowing her to finally incorporate all her passions; food, wine & giving back to create Feast it Forward lifestyle brand. “Feast it Forward” is an online video based media company, connecting fans to social and instructional content with a purposeful and simple motto: “Inspiring Stories. Philanthropic Living.” Showcasing goodwill and charitable giving through culinary and wine related content/products, food and wine enthusiasts (coined as “Foodies and Winos”) learn about charitable causes around the country, along with the chefs and winemakers inspired by those causes. “FEASTers” raise a glass, funds and awareness.

What makes your business stand out?

We seek to enlighten viewers; open minds and change the way people think about food and wine while purchasing products that give back to the community.

What's the best business advice you've received?

You start with empty hands, an idea and a dream...from here you must create something from nothing, which can be the most difficult part of entrepreneurship. Every day I’m reminded that my passion fuels my drive, and sometimes you are truly the only person that stands in the way of your own success. ‪#‎FEASTforThought‬
