Tell us about your business.Praxis Design was conceptualized as part of my BFA senior project, starting a business plan along with a close friends' wedding invitation. From there it has blossomed into this delightful, creative entity I take an immense amount of pride in. Currently I am working towards growing my custom and RTA suites online as well as having a studio space & small store front. As much as I love freely designing and creating wonderful pieces, I thoroughly enjoy working with clients (who I view more as creative partners) and find that this collaboration really creates the most inspiring and heartfelt pieces.
What makes your business stand out?I have an insatiable passion for design and creating tactile objects. It's not simply what I do, but really, who I am. I have the opportunity to work with a variety of people, learn their story and then translate that into something that reflects their uniqueness. From letterpress, hand lettering, illustration, unique media & more, I let the people and project inspire the style and techniques I employ in the object's creation. I set no limits on creativity and am always striving to do something new & different. This business is my dream, and every project is one step closer to growing that dream.
What's the best business advice you've received?Always believe in yourself. Be true to who you are and always LOVE what you do.
