Tell us about your business.

EvyTea started out of frustration of how very few choices there were when it comes to non-alcoholic beverages in social situations. Evy noticed that many people, including herself, having to fake it with ice cubes and soda water. She decided to invent a beverage that is both sexy and tasty as well as having superior health benefits. Evy decided to adopt the cold brewing method and gave this ancient beverage a modern make over. Funded through Kickstarter, EvyTea won 1st place at "2013 North America Tea Championship" and was recently featured in The Boston Globe, Daily Candy and Boston Phoenix. Evy sees her teas serving a market niche and becoming available in restaurants, spas and resorts worldwide.

What makes your business stand out?

Cold brewing is a unique combination of ancient steeping practices and modern innovation. With dedication and patience we nurture the highest quality, whole leaf teas in pristine, filtered water for 16 hours. Unlike boiling water, which often burns and damages the leaves, cold water allows the tea to bloom slowly while releasing only the most delicate flavors without any bitterness. Due to it’s low acidity, cold brewed tea is much easier on the body, releasing twice as many antioxidants and very little caffeine. EvyTea is 100% natural, made with rare tea leafs in Boston, MA. The hand made small batch teas contains zero calories, zero additives and zero preservative. Currently available in three flavors: Moonlight (White Tea, Apricot, Jasmine), Amber (Oolong Tea, Rosemary,Orange Zest) and Decaf (Green Tea, Pomegranate, Fig). The teas are perfectly bottled in an elegant glass bottles which makes them a perfect dinner beverage and a unique gift item.

What's the best business advice you've received?
