Tell us about your business.

Peas of Mind sprouted from the idea of stealth health; taking food kids love & making a natural version that packs in veggies without compromising texture & taste. We provide a needed option for health-conscious parents who want to feed their growing kids delicious meals with quality ingredients but don't have time to cook from scratch. Our most popular line is our Veggie Wedgies, which are baked, crispy French fries that contain 2 servings of real veggies. Next came our Peas of Pie pizza with real broccoli and carrots ground down and kneaded right into our crust. Each pie contains 1.5 servings of veggies! Pull-a-Parts are our version of a healthy snack; just pull & dunk our signature veggie dough (which contains 1 serving of veggies) into a tasty dip! We recently reinvented the chicken nugget & turned it into a nutrient packed, Garden-Grown Nugget. Our gluten-free, vegan & vegetarian nuggets are made up of broccoli, carrots, tofu and brown rice & are contain a FULL serving of veggies!

What makes your business stand out?

At Peas of Mind we literally take a broccoli floret and turn it into a French fry. Innovation in the food industry is not an easy task but we are committed to giving kids the food they want while infusing every bite with TONS of veggies while using simple ingredients and homemade methods. Our Veggie Wedgies won us the title of Research & Development Team of The Year in 2009 (for the small business category!) but the real reward is when a mom posts on our Facebook page that she finally was able to get her son to eat vegetables (with a little help from our broccoli French fry of course)!

What's the best business advice you've received?

"Some men look at things the way they are and ask why? I dream of things that are not and ask why not?" — Robert Kennedy
