Tell us about your business.Anthony Arkus first became introduced to the craft of blacksmithing when he worked as an apprentice to a master blacksmith in Vermont 30 years ago. After two years apprenticing, Anthony started to create his own designs, eventually allowing him to open his own studio. Ark Iron presently exhibits at major arts and crafts shows throughout the East coast and also sells through the Ark Iron Etsy shop. All of the work created by Ark Iron is completely handmade and original in design. Anthony Arkus individually hand-forges each piece using both ancient and modern tools and techniques. His designs are both contemporary and traditional with a predominance of natural form, creating a marriage of form and function. In his work, Anthony uses iron, stainless steel, copper and brass as his materials.
