Jillian Rene Decor
Tell us about your business.I started my business while completing my BFA in interior design from Virginia Commonwealth University's School of the Arts. Shortly after graduating, I launched my first colorblock pillow design in July 2012. That design was discovered by leading stylists in the industry and received press from major design publications including HGTV and Country Living Magazine. In the last 6 months that design has evolved into different sizes and color combinations and has quickly become the staple of the Jillian Rene Decor brand. It has also charted the path to new complimenting designs. We use original patterns to cut down fabric, measure and construct each pillow by hand. The process includes a system of parts and a series of aligning, pinning, stitching, and pressing in order to achieve the quality results that are a trademark of our brand. We are quickly outgrowing our current studio space and are hoping to expand our space and line of products in the near future.
What makes your business stand out?Jillian Rene Decor emphasizes design, color and quality. Inspiration for new designs is drawn from nature, fashion and a nod to mid century modern; in addition to form, pattern and texture. Combining carefully selected fabrics gives a finished result much different than printed fabrics. The textures are richer and the patterns are more defined. Our construction technique also allows flexibility and customization which provides virtually limitless options to our clients.
