Erickson Longboards

American Made Since 2009

Bill Erickson

Seattle, Washington
I hand craft custom hardwood longboards from reclaimed wood, primarily walnut. After that, I use the remaining wood to build cutting boards.

Tell us about your business.

I built my first longboard in 2008 for myself. In April of 2009 I was laid off from my job and decided to turn this into my livelihood. I started selling through friends, by word of mouth, then onto weekend farmer and flea markets and currently Pike Place Market in Seattle.

What's the best business advice you've received?

Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life.
