Tell us about your business.Motita Jewels began long ago when I was a little girl mesmerized by my grandmother’s jewels. I would take my grandmother's necklaces apart and rearrange them; this is how I learned to bead. She worked at a belt factory and often brought home different belts made in extravagant textures such as snakeskin and all kinds of exotic leathers. After her passing I decided to bring back her style by creating a line that encompassed both her love for jewels and leather. My grandmother called me Motita, which means small powder puff in Spanish. I studied fashion at FIT & LIM college where I majored in design and styling. I enjoy traveling, learning about new cultures and spending time with my family + dog Chloe. Motita Jewels style is inspired by my love for chic & eclectic urban looks. In the future I wish to expand the Motita Jewels brand with earrings and hair adornments.
What makes your business stand out?Motita Jewels is unique with its knack for using a sea of color in each piece and combining wearable/ comfortable leather straps held together with magnetic clasp for easy accessibility.
What's the best business advice you've received? The best business advise I have been given is to put your brand out there in a more personal way by using social media for viewers to see the mind behind the brand.
