Designing Little Hats For All Your Little Bratz

Tell us about your business.

Ive been crocheting since I was about 10 (my grandmother taught me some basic stitches) about 4 years ago I was buying crochet hats for my then 1 1/2 year old and thought "this is crazy, you know how to crochet, how hard can a hat be?" well it was difficult at first, especially not being able to read or write patterns.. BUT after trial and error, 4 years later it has turned into my only source of income (single mom here) At first this was just a hobby and everywhere I would go with my daughter people would ask about her hats so I decided to try selling them and they were a hit. After 2 1/2 years of dabbling in the hobby I quit my job to do this full time.. I have been truly blessed with the wonderful photographers who have made my items come to life with the images... With there help I have been able to increase my prices double from when I first started.. I hope in the years coming to go forward and hire employees, maybe someone who can teach me to write patterns...

What makes your business stand out?

What makes my business unique is that I do all the work myself.. I make each and every item that goes in the mail.. I really cater to boys (altho I do a lot of girl things) Cute boy items are harder to find, so I make the cutest things I can for boys.. What makes me unique is that I do all of these adorable crochet items from my head (no patterns)
