Just Baked Boise
Tell us about your business. As I embark on the journey from dedicated worker into the privilege of business ownership, I have created my website in conjunction with my 2 year old blog, all of the necessary spreadsheets for book keeping purposes, food costs and supply needs. A detailed business plan has been drafted and research about equipment needs and renovations required to open a bakery within The Soda Works. My commitment to the business shows by the fact that I have saved and bought many of the items needed for my bakery like website and logo costs, commercial coffee brewer & supplies, etc. I'm doing a crowdfunding campaign which provides an avenue to raise the rest of my funding and seek support from individuals in realizing my dream as a bakery owner. This not only impresses on me the gravity of my venture, it requires me to show a work ethic far before selling a single cookie to the public at large. Over the last year I have made and sold thousands of treats, here I come world!
What makes your business stand out?Well, I'm fourteen, that makes me pretty unique. I'm finished with highschool and my mom and grandma are my partners in my bakery. I have been doing event baking for about a year and will open my bakery in one of my mom's shops at the end of Sept. It is tiny, cute and will churn out delicious treats, drip coffee and artisan tea. It's unique in the sense of my extremely low overhead, we will be making every item ourselves and every confection is my unique creation!
What's the best business advice you've received?"If you do not work for your own dream, someone will hire you to work for theirs." ~ Tony Gaskin I'm willing to work longer and harder to see my dream a reality.
