Shiner International

American Made Since 2010

Joe Manus

Marianna , Florida
Shiner… the Modern Alchemist. Like the alchemist of the past, we make something out of nothing.

Tell us about your business.

Shiners brand is a black eye. My thoughts on the brand were that I have an exciting company that makes exciting things and those exciting things have a rich, colorful story behind each of them. There is always a good story behind every Shiner. Most people know the country needs industrious individuals to have a vision and not be afraid to try to make it a reality; it is our country’s roots and we have strayed far, but we are starting to remember and Shiner is doing its part. We have opened a plant in Florida this year…a big one and in an area that is rich in past flourishing industry. We are finding talented people all around that are now being put back to work in an industry that had fled their home town. We will be producing textiles, furniture, lighting and more, under one roof. Big ideas in a small town…now that’s American. We make Furniture and lighting that is cool, functional and well made…three characterizations that will always be timeless.

What's the best business advice you've received?

Daddy always told me, “When people say you are doing wrong or weird… keep doing it because the world needs dreamers.”
