Tell us about your business.Like many brides before her, the search for Angela’s wedding dress was frustrating. Fussy, over-embellished and stressful at times. From this experience, she was inspired to start her own dress line - embracing style, timeless tradition, and passionate unembellished love - for the completely original bride. Winifred Bean brides are real people with a true sense of who they are and how they want to feel on their wedding day, no matter how much they may plan or leave to fate. Our gowns are simple, stylish, cool and classic, and even offer interchangeable tops and bottoms if our brides want to make them even more of their own. Named after the muse of timeless taste, Angela's grandmother Sally Winifred Bean.
What makes your business stand out?We don’t think that shopping for your wedding dress should be a frustrating or expensive experience. In an industry built on upselling and hyper detail, we want our brides to take it a little bit easy. Our business is built on the belief that the experience should be an easy, fun, amazing story that our clients will never forget. In addition to working to design dresses, we also partner with like-minded creative companies to deliver content, ideas, accessories and hopefully a good laugh or two during the entire wedding experience.
What's the best business advice you've received?Don’t do it alone and stay true to your gut on the important decisions. Being an entrepreneur is a hard thing, but if you keep people around you, supportive family and friends and only work on the things you believe in, it will happen.
