Tell us about your business.

Native Touch is committed to providing high-quality natural skin care that is affordable to the general public in an environmentally-responsible fashion. Our Native American elders teach us that if you can't eat it, you should not put it on your body. Native Touch implements the wisdom of our elders to bring good medicine to the earth and humanity. Our vision for the future revolves around the ancient indigenous wisdom of basing the decisions of today on the way it will affect the next seven generations. With this in mind, we are committed to using fair trade ingredients in our products, organic when possible, and eco-friendly, minimal packaging. We strive to be Green in every way, investing in you and our most precious mutual resource, the earth.

What makes your business stand out?

One thing that sets us apart from other body care companies is that we are not re-bottlers. All of our products are original, proprietary recipes formulated by herbal biologist and company founder, Laralyn RiverWind who is a doctoratal student of Naturopathy. All of our products are manufactured in the USA. We try to source ingredients from local farmers and family-owned businesses. We coordinate local environmental initiatives like the Trail of Tears Clean Up Project where we were able to mobilize volunteers to clean up a portion of the Trail of Tears. At the end of the day, 14 dump trucks full of trash were collected! We incorporate the indigenous teachings of our Native American ancestors in how we run our business as well as in our products. We believe that Creator placed medicine in the plants for us to use in order to help with all of our ailments. We desire to pass that legacy on to our customers as they transition from chemical based products to all natural.

What's the best business advice you've received?

Place Creator first, above all things. Acknowledge Him in everything that you do and He will make the works of your hands succeed. As Native people we always look to the spiritual first before the physical. Other great advice we've received from industry professional include work hard; put in long hours; don't give up; don't bite off more than you can chew. But our primary source of advice is in the teachings of the ancient ones that have been passed down for thousands of years. More great advice: Learn to listen for Creator's voice in the midst of the storms. Be at peace when the financial boat is being rocked. Know that He is with us through growth and hardship, through times of struggle and times of success. But most importantly, Creator never fails us which is why we have come so far with this business. Faith, Trust, Hope and unwavering devotion to what we want to accomplish with this business so that we can help others. That is what drives us.
