Tell us about your business.A few years ago When I began making toys and dresses for my Grandchildren, my daughter Nichol encouraged me to open a shop on Etsy. As she showed me how to begin, I was at a loss for a store name, so on a whim I named it after my Dachshund Talona. In late 2012 I began making kitchen, bath and nursery decor from Mason Jars. Our online store also features Rustic Flower Girl Pillowcase Dresses. We are proud to be made in the USA and order all supplies and packing materials from US companies. To help keep environmental waste to a minimum, we ship our products in biodegradable shipping peanuts made completely from organic cornstarch. FDA compliant, water soluble cornstarch peanuts are reusable or with a little water will melt right before your eyes. Talona Rustics has customers across the US and Canada. We've shipped dresses and soap dispensers to the UK, and are currently working with a customer in Australia.
What makes your business stand out?We love custom orders! We want our customers to enjoy a unique product made especially for them. To be as fair as possible, we charge true shipping rates, nothing extra. If a customer lives closer to us, their shipping cost may be less than estimated. If so, we send the postage overage back to them with their purchase! Good customer service is treating others as if they were family.
