Tell us about your business.

The Pitanga juice concept was created after my personal journey to improve health and well being. My lifestyle and food creation soon inspired others including clients I was seeing as a nutritionist. All of our products are organic, cold pressed and freshly prepared. We carefully select good quality items and support our local vendors as much possible. Pitanga started at my kitchen, and now we have a commercial kitchen where we receive our daily orders. Our business have been well received and we plan on expanding it by opening a store front. We are also expanding our menu by creating delicious gourmet items that will be branded with our beautiful logo.

What makes your business stand out?

The brazil-Brooklyn connection makes us unique. Pitanga was my favorite fruits growing up in brazil, it resembles a cherry and the name was well received by New Yorkers. We selected some special items from Brazil to mix into our menu which sets us apart from other juice places. Starting a business with not much capital investment forced us to become very resourceful. Everything about Pitanga juice was made by us; website, logo, label and products. We also work very hard to maintain good relationship with our costumers and spread our enthusiasm.

What's the best business advice you've received?

Be patient and believe in your product!!
