Tell us about your business.

PvF is about uniting homemade with manufacturing. All PvF products are designed, draped, patterned and sample sewn by me, Trudy. I then contract out the manufacturing to local sewing factories while I oversee production. I design one new item every six weeks available in limited editions using quality materials and lasting sewing techniques. I design for a Northern California lifestyle of foggy coastal jaunts, farmers market shopping, playground hopping, cafe dining and urban hiking. I fell in love with wool coats when we moved to the foggy city of San Francisco in 2002. Using my degree in Fashion Design and my passion for sewing and pattern drafting I starting making wool coats for friends and family. My reputation grew and my desire to share my coats grew so PvF was born. My business is small and indie and grows by word of mouth. I would like to grow into a company that offers a new design every 4 weeks in limited editions and to always maintain the made in USA label.
