Tell us about your business.

WEBA Natural Products began as an idea in 2012 while Lydia, the Founder, worked full-time as a Social Worker in Ulster county. She experimented with ingredients and searched for suppliers, working out of her home on the third floor. After losing her job, she decided to follow her passion and began packaging and selling her creations to retailers. Now in 21 locations from Hudson to Port Washington, NY, she hopes to continue growing her wholesale partners, while delivering excellent customer service to her retail customers. WEBA Natural Products' mission is to deliver quality at a reasonable price, while supporting local businesses. As a manufacturer of cruelty-free, vegan products, WEBA hopes to donate part of their net profits to local animal sanctuaries and shelters. Packaging is important, too. Soap wraps are handmade lokta papers made in Nepal, and product labels are biodegradable. WEBA hopes to make sizing up production and hiring help the next order of business.

What makes your business stand out?

1) WEBA always thinks "green", using recycled packing and packaging materials, by recycling leftovers, and by cross-selling the benefits of a cruelty-free, vegan lifestyle. 2) Products are organic and naturally derived. 3) WEBA supports small businesses everywhere, from our graphic designer in Kingston and herb suppliers on the West coast, to the workers in Ghana who process the shea butter we use. Small businesses are the engines that drive innovation and social responsibility going forward.
