Gorgeous, sophisticated shoes that complete a woman's look, and allow her to walk with ease and grace. Moxie Shoes are made to last and to love.

Tell us about your business.

I make the shoes I've always wanted, but couldn't find. Elegant, but also wearable. They go with most everything, and allow for all the walking that city life requires, free from pain and worry. I believe that since a woman's shoes literally carry her through the day, shoes impact her state of mind. Mass produced shoes oversimplify ideas of women - they are too girlish, or clichéd "sexy", or drab and matronly. Moxie shoes reflect the complexity, strength, and depth of an actual woman. I am committed to keeping production in the US, both to create jobs and to control environmental impact. I will one day offer good jobs for those in special need, such as veterans, and the formerly incarcerated .

What makes your business stand out?

Moxie Shoes, and our clients, stand out from, rather than blending in with the crowd. We understand the special relationship that women have with their shoes. We understand what a woman responds to in a pair of shoes. We know what will thrill her, what will please her, and what will serve her. We are not confined by trends. Because we do small runs (compared to the tens of thousands of pairs made by international companies) we can take design risks and offer customers something truly special. We free to follow only the dictates of beauty and good design. The customer receives a pair of shoes she can wear and love for many seasons.

What's the best business advice you've received?

"Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts." Winston Churchill
