Tell us about your business. As an abstract painter, color and form were the focus of my work. I created my first necklace using unusual colors to accesssorize a special blouse in my wardrobe. Someone bought it off my neck! That's how my business was born. Since then, I've searched for elements that I haven't seen before. I enjoy creating visual drama by combining organic, rough stones with more elegant components. Recently, my work has become more asymmetrical in design, and follows my painting process of designing as I make each piece. Large, statement necklaces have always been the foundation of my collection, but I also enjoy making delicate pieces when I find inspiring materials. I expect to continue creating unique necklaces, since I personally prefer wearing jewelry that is one-of-a-kind. Until now, my work has been sold in museum stores and small boutiques, but I expect to expand into e-commerce in the near future.
What makes your business stand out?I try to utilize rare and unusual stones and materials which are not found in many jewelry designs. I've always aimed at creating unique pieces for the client who doesn't want to wear what everyone else has.
