Tell us about your business.

After moving into a home with bare, plate glass bathroom mirrors, I was inspired to create MirrorMate frames - a DIY product that allows homeowners to finish their builder's grade mirrors with a frame. The first was made in my garage for my own bathroom and the business grew from there. Today, we custom make each frame for our customers from our Charlotte, NC facility. Our patented frames are shipped as a kit that is ready to assemble and put up in just minutes - pressing directly onto the glass. With MirrorMate, there is no need to take down the existing mirror - it's an eco-friendly way to save and beautify an existing mirror. We currently have over 65 high-quality frame styles available nationally via our website and select interior designers/home stagers. We'd love to see all mirrors in America have a frame - there's just no reason to be bare!

What makes your business stand out?

MirrorMate is the original and leading retro-fit framing solution for plate glass mirrors. The frames are made of high quality wood, MDF or LDF and durability tested. They've been a popular update in hotel bathrooms for years. The frames are custom - cut to fit the customer's unique mirror measurements and the patented design covers right over all clips that hold the mirror on for a perfect fit. The frames work even if the mirror touches the wall, backsplash or ceiling. Almost all of our frame stock is from American and all the frames are manufactured and shipped from our North Carolina facility.
