Frans Homemade Wonders
Tell us about your business.I have been interested in crafting my entire life. I started selling my crafts after years of my friends and family encouraging me to do so. I began by selling at craft fairs and our local crafter's mall, but since being diagnosed with cancer, I now only sell through the internet. I do a little of everything, but polymer clay and crocheting are my favorites. I specialize in making wedding cake tops, Christmas ornaments and baby items, but offer a variety of other items as well. I love letting my imagination go wild and then making my creations.
What makes your business stand out?All of my items are entirely handmade to the buyers specifications in a smoke free environment. I especially enjoy working with brides to make unique, one of a kind wedding cake tops. I match their wedding colors as close as possible to the color swatches they send me, as well as fulfilling any other requests they have. I also enjoy making special Christmas ornaments. I often receive requests for a special ornament that is from the buyers imagination and I do my very best to make that ornament for them. I take great pride in going the extra mile and making that special item for each and every one of my buyers. I go to great lengths to fulfill each and every one of their wishes so they receive exactly what they want.
What's the best business advice you've received?Just get out there and try. No matter what happens don't give up because a slow start doesn't mean business will be slow forever.
