Tell us about your business.Husband and wife team handcrafting seasonal, small batch jams. We are passionate about what goes into our products and don’t believe in artificial ingredients or preservatives. By partnering with local farms within 60 miles of Santa Barbara we are able to create preserves from the highest quality organic ingredients. How did you start making jam? Growing up I never cared for preserved fruit. I'd only been familiar with the processed, overly sweet stuff you find on the market shelves. However, that all changed when I tried a homemade habanero jelly. Inspired by this delicious fruit spread, I began making jam as a hobby and teaching myself the art of canning along the way. After giving away countless jars to friends and family, my husband and I started Sweet Lady Cook. We've always had a passion for good food made with quality ingredients and now we have the opportunity to share that passion with everyone.
What makes your business stand out?We put a lot of effort into searching out the best possible ingredients that are organic, seasonal and grown within 60 miles of Santa Barbara.
