Peace by Piece Creations
Tell us about your business.I am a small home based business, I use the largest bedroom in my home, as a factory. There are 6 sewing machines ( 4 of them vintage) set up to perform different tasks. My passion is creating children's clothing, but I also love taking vintage patterns and pairing them with todays fabric for a new swing on an old style. I also upcycle clothing and including vintage Saris. I recently won 1st place apparel in Sarifixation Re-Design Challenge at MIT in Boston.
What makes your business stand out?I make my business unique. I offer One of a Kind pieces. No 2 outfits are ever duplicated.. I know this can't happen in the real world ( and why can't it?), but in a small home based environment like mine ~It can.
What's the best business advice you've received?Don't Stop Dreaming My daughter disliked buying herself clothing, only to have her friends run out to buy the same outfit.. I still make clothing for her today, because "Mom, No One has or can get one just like this..."
