Tell us about your business.

Sara Cramer, Kansas City native, is a 24-year-old entrepreneur that has built a booming brand in three years after graduating from The Kansas City Art Institute with a BFA. It all started with a live/work studio in the crossroads art district. Her plan for success was as simple as an inspiring studio + material exploration + public access on First Friday. She spends her time in Kansas City making jewelry to sell at the Renegade Craft fair in cities such as Chicago, Austin, Brooklyn, LA, San Fran, and London. Each year, Sara shows a high-end jewelry collection at the West 18th Street Fashion Show. Her work has been featured in magazines and newspapers such as The Kansas City Star, Spaces, KC Weddings, on the cover of The Pitch, on blogs such as Daily Candy, Kansas Couture and Jadato (just another day at the office) and recently featured as the cover story of Herlife Magazine.

What makes your business stand out?

I started making objects without a preconceived notion of the final piece. This intuitive process allowed me to create an amazing product, and a fulfilling lifestyle. My goals are to create beautiful objects, travel to amazing places and meet likeminded people. I like to make things that look good, but its most important make you feel great.

What's the best business advice you've received?

Have fun with it.
