Tell us about your business.

I've always had an eye for fashion. My mother would never let me leave the house without a headband or a bow in my hair. I went to school for fashion marketing and always wanted to start my own business. One day I was shopping and I spent $50 on a pair of embellished flip flops, which only had a ribbon bow on them, and I said to myself "never again" I can make these for half the price and with better embellishments. So I established Primadonna Pieces in 2007 with the goal of providing fabulous accessories to my customers, which are not only unique and stylish, but also functional and practical for anyone to purchase. Recently, my boutique has had the opportunity to gift the Celebrities that attended the 2013 Oscar Gift Lounge at the 2013 Oscars, The Wendy Williams Show and Brandi Glanville from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills via the Artisan Group. My goal is to make each and every customer sparkle and shine with fabulous one-of-a-kind accessories.

What makes your business stand out?

Most if not all of our accessories are handmade personally by me. My pieces are made with rich, luxurious fabrics and gorgeous embellishments. No two pieces are the same. I put 110% into every piece that I make. I want my customers to be satisfied with their purchase and take great pride in my work.

What's the best business advice you've received?

Never give up, because giving up is failure.
