Oil & Wax
Tell us about your business.I started making soy candles when I decided to make handmade favors for my wedding. I wanted something simple, beautiful, and meaningful. I'm a nostalgic person, and my sense of smell tends to be my biggest memory trigger. So naturally, I thought candles would be the perfect way to remember that special time and place in our lives. I enjoyed making my personal favors so much that I knew I'd love to do it for others as well. While I started out just selling individual candles on Etsy, future brides were soon asking about custom orders for their weddings as well. It felt great to know there were others that felt the same way I did, and that is when I began building Oil & Wax into a true company and brand. I'd love to see Oil & Wax become a resource for anyone wanting to make any occasion a personal, and most importantly, memorable one.
What makes your business stand out?I want people to remember the important, happy moments in their lives because of my products. My sense of smell triggers these moments in my life, which makes my product a very personal one. From choosing just the right fragrance to personalizing messages and packaging, the options for creating unique, life-long memories are unlimited.
