Tell us about your business.

Bella Mia is a line of artisan bath and body products that draws inspiration from the near and far corners of the globe. I fell in love with the endless possibilities of blending traditional and natural ingredients to create an array of fragrances while traveling through Europe. I'd already developed a taste for African Shea Butter and the amazing properties it possessed to heal dry skin. Deciding to channel all of my energy into these passions I created my small business soon after. Selling my creations from my home, and at any craft fair or festival I could find, I constantly refined my recipes and polished the packaging. In 2012 I opened a small boutique on Laurel Street in the historic district of my hometown. I have been blessed with longtime loyal customers, and lucky enough to have many new ones find me. Continuously sourcing new ingredients, I work with a talented aromatherapist to concoct products that combine all of nature's goodness into something great for your skin.

What makes your business stand out?

The unique thing about my business is that everything is hand made with my two hands. I select the jar that I use, I sterilize the jar, I create the contents of the jar, I fill the jar, I seal the jar, and I put the label on the jar. Then I take the jar to my shop, I put a price tag on the jar, I sell the jar to you, put the jar into a bag and watched it leave, knowing how much happiness it brings to your skin and your senses when the jar is opened.
