Babycakes' Cookie Bar opened in Boynton Beach, FL in 2012. It is in dedication to my loving grandmother, who taught me how to bake.

Babycakes' Cookie Bar, a bakery in Boynton Beach, FL, was started in 2012 after the passing of my beloved Grammy. She, along with my mother, taught me to feel comfortable in the kitchen at a very young age. After winning a spot on the Food Network's "Ultimate Recipe Showdown" for my Chocolate Peanut Butter Torte, I knew I could turn my favorite hobby into a life-long career. Babycakes' Cookie Bar just celebrated its 1-Year Anniversary and what an accomplishment that is! In this past year, Babycakes' Cookie Bar has had the privilege of participating in several not-for-profit events that benefit such causes as Celiac's Disease and Cystic Fibrosis. My business has become the go-to bakery for Gender Reveal Cakes and treats for weddings and other special events. Without my loyal family and supportive friends, Babycakes' Cookie Bar could never have been a success. It is with their love and devotion that I have been able to reach this milestone and know there will be many more!

What makes your business stand out?

Babycakes’ Cookie Bar specializes in unique sweets you won’t find anywhere else, as well as traditional fare even better than your Grandma’s. Known for our mix of old family recipes and new creative desserts, Babycakes’ Cookie Bar bakes up an impressive variety of cakes, cookies, brownies, bars, and even muffin tops (the good kind!) While many large bakeries won't dye their cake batter, Babycakes' Cookie Bar will and so we are happy to create Gender Reveal Cakes for that special moment in a couple's lives. Need 250 individually wrapped cookies for your wedding? Babycakes' Cookie Bar will provide that for you. Babycakes' Cookie Bar is not just a business... It's an outlet to create smiles on people's faces.

What's the best business advice you've received?

Never give up. There are good days and bad days, but with dedication, anything is possible.
