I loved this marinara sauce! I put it on a pizza, and it was delicious. Like one of the other reviewers, I did not need to puree the tomatoes. I used POMI strained tomatoes.

This is my nonna's recipe from Emilia Romagna. It is always the best, simpliest sauce to make where the tomato flavor stands out. She always made hers using San Marzano canned tomatoes - it really does make a difference!

It was nice, but it lacked "tomato sauce flavor".
If you want a quick sauce, this is the recipe for you but if you want a really really flavorfull recipe for sauce, this is not the one for you.

This was absolutely delicious! To save a bit of time and less clean up, I used pureed tomato sauce instead. I'll definitely make this again on a week night. Quick and easy to prepare.
