A French-Inspired Shower
This shower theme was inspired by the French countryside in summer, where the fields are carpeted in lavender and the sky is nursery blue.
Above the buffet, wire letters were decorated with oregano and forget-me-nots.

Invitations were made from ivory cards trimmed with scalloped scissors, tied with thin ribbon, and nested in envelopes made of toile paper; scripted across the top, the word bebe hints at the shower’s theme.

When the time came to open gifts, bite-size deserts such as Madeleines are easily carried from the buffet to a sofa or armchair. The lavender-dotted Petit Pois Petit Four is filled with layers of genoise and tart orange marmalade. Vanilla-infused white hot chocolate is served in café au lait bowls.

As a party favor, blocks of white chocolate were wrapped in parchment, tied with waxed twine, and topped with a vanilla bean to make individual servings of Chocolat Blanc.
