Decorative Icicles

Introduction

When it comes to decorative outdoor lighting, let the architecture and landscape of your house -- along with your imagination and our ideas -- guide you. With little effort, you can give your home extra holiday sparkle. Familiar electric lights are transformed with ease. Encrusted with plastic crystals, icicles glitter like diamonds.

Remove the icicles; using a glue gun, cover them with nonflammable iridescent plastic crystals (available at craft stores). For extra sparkle, we also hung lightweight plastic icicles between the lit crystals on the string.

Materials

  • Snap-on plastic outdoor icicle lights
  • Glue gun
  • Nonflammable iridescent plastic crystals
