Ready to try embroidering? Stephanie Housley, founder of Coral & Tusk, provided templates for some of her spring collection. She gave each pattern a paint-by-numbers treatment and says you need little more than needles, floss, a hoop, and intuition.
"For all the embroidery I've done, I still don't know the terminology," she says, laughing. Even so, outlines on the designs here can be done with a backstitch, and colors can be filled in with a satin stitch or a long-and-short stitch. For how-tos as well as other instructions on transferring the pattern to fabric, download the templates. (Open our PDF in Adobe Reader or Acrobat Pro to print.)

I had no problem printing. Turned out perfectly.
I too am so disappointed. Did it really have to be all bugs?
Hello...? The link is broken... Does anyone monitor this site?
I think the link must be broken ... I got the 404 error as well.
I also got the 404 Error message. Was very interested in these designs, I would have loved to have tried the designs for a young boy's quilt .
got a 404 error message - was able to look at templets earlier ... now nothing.
I had trouble downloading the images for the embroideries as well. Help ?
I only see the bugs. Is there a way to download the templates for other of these designs?
After reading the article and seeing her cool illustrations, I could hardly wait to go online to find the samples of her Spring Collection she was sharing with readers to create. Alas, four different beetles/bugs was not what I had hoped for, but her attention to detail is impressive.
