How-To

Customized Photo Stationery

Martha Stewart Living, February 2013

Customize stationery by edging cards and envelope flaps with poster paint markers, then decorate them with homemade stamps and medallion stickers. You can also print on adhesive-backed paper, though the image may not be as crisp.

Tools and Materials

Cards and envelopes
Poster-paint marker
Printer paper
Stamp-edging scissors
Glue stick

  1. Using a ruler as a guide, draw a border along flaps and edges of envelopes and cards with the paint marker.
  2. To make stamps: Print images on printer paper. Cut out with edging scissors. Adhere to envelope with glue stick.
  3. To make medallion stickers: Print images on printer paper. Cut out, draw a border around perimeter with paint marker if desired, and adhere to envelope with glue stick.
