Martha's two black Welsh sheep, Babaa and Black Sheep, offered their gorgeous wool as holiday gifts. After shearing, washing, carding, and spinning, the wool was knitted into simple vests for Martha's grandchildren, Jude and Truman. "Sheepish" tags cut from paper hint at what's inside.

Same problem for me: the first front piece is way too long. Started this as Christmas gift and had to abort. Would love a correction of pattern instructions.
I also am working on the first front side and the vest looks extremely long. Have these instructions been corrected somewhere that I am not aware of?
I am using a different yarn for this project. What is the gauge? I tried the first side of the vest and it was really long. Wondering if This is the right size. Would be great to have the gauge and the dimensions.
The directions for the seed stitch pattern is actually incorrect. To create the seed stitch, one must P1 *K1, P1 - rep * to end of row.
Repeat this row until work is desired length.
I hope this helps anyone attempting to create this beautiful knitted vest. I'm currently making on for my 10 month old.
