Trompe L'oeil Shoe Clips

Give everyday shoes a whole new look by attaching these simple clips.

  1. Step 1

Download clip art, and print onto 8 1/2-by-11-inch dark-T-shirt transfer paper. Using a craft knife, cut out desired bows into rectangles.

  2. Step 2

Follow manufacturer's instructions to transfer designs onto leather.

This is a simple and cheap idea but yet it transforms the plain shoes to something so unique and pretty. Ready-made bows/patterns found on shoes are most often sold at a higher price. But with this technique, we can buy plain shoes at a cheaper price and customize them ourselves to make our pair a unique and rare design.

You can find Shoe Cips at Just put Shoe Clips into the search area and hit click. You'll have more than you can imagine to choose from !!

Yes, I have looked all over the internet but cannot find a good shoe clip. They're mostly cheap and break very easily. Would love a good shoe clip website.

I agree. This article stopped short of telling us how to totally complete the project? Love the shoe clip idea, but how do you attach, and please, where do you find the shoe clips!

Cute! What do you use as the actual clip and where can they be purchased?
