Print both envelope templates (Pointed Tip and Rectangle), and cut them out: 1 comes to a point; the other is a long rectangle. Trace each template onto lining fabric, then outer fabric; cut out all 4 pieces.
Match shapes, and stack, right sides facing. Machine-stitch around pointed set with a 1/2-inch seam allowance, leaving the long side opposite the point open. Machine-stitch along 3 sides of rectangle set, leaving 1 long side open. Snip off excess fabric from all corners and the top of point. Turn each pocket right side out, and press.
Stack pockets, aligning open edges with outer fabrics facing. Stitch along open sides only. Fold the resulting piece at the seam with lining fabric facing
Stitch along the 2 short ends from outside. (Tip: To create neat, straight seams at the short ends, apply a small amount of fabric glue to the aligned edges before stitching.)
Cut a heart from card stock; punch a hole in the center, near the top. Cut a length of seam binding, and thread 1 end through hole. Put necktie in envelope. Loop seam binding around envelope, and thread the other end up through hole. Tie ends in a knot; trim excess seam binding.
