To make an egg: Insert pin at one end of egg; brush a small area surrounding the pin with glue. Hook one end of floss around the pin, leaving a 1/2-inch tail; adhere tail to glued portion on the egg. Carefully begin wrapping the floss in a single layer around pin and over tail end, adhering it to egg.
Once you've covered glued portion with floss, use paintbrush to apply more glue to another small section, and continue wrapping; repeat until half of egg is wrapped, and then snip floss. Remove pin, and repeat process on other end until entire egg is covered. Fill in any gaps with more thread.
A variety of trims and fabric millinery flowers can be used to embellish your wrapped eggs. Simply use clear fabric glue to adhere them. A variety of trims and fabric millinery flowers can be used to embellish your wrapped eggs. Simply use clear fabric glue to adhere them.
Mantelpiece DisplayIf you've wrapped oversize eggs, you can display them on candlesticks to create a striking effect. Among these eggs are a mix of fresh and faux spring blossoms: indigo grape hyacinths, lavender lilies of the valley, and creamy daffodils mingle with iridescent velvet millinery flowers, all arranged in sterling-silver cups.
