Shell House How-To

1. Collect shells of many colors and sizes at the seashore and from gift shops. You can also buy shells online at seashellcity.com.

2. Print the house and roof templates and photocopy at 250 percent; trace onto sturdy cardboard. Cut out along solid lines; crease and fold along dotted ones.

3. With a tacky, quick-drying craft glue, glue house closed, using shaded tab from the template. Glue small shells to house; glue shells (such as coquinas) to roof in overlapping shingles. Then glue roof to house, using shaded tabs.

4. When you're done, create a few inhabitants for your beach bungalow, like these adorable shell koalas (refer to photo above left).
