Bunny Fold for Napkins

Easter-rabbit-shaped napkins are a festive detail for the holiday table, and they only require a few simple folds. Well-starched crisp cotton or linen will transform into the sturdiest bunnies. Fold napkins the day before your meal so your "warren" is full when guests arrive.

  • Cotton or linen napkins, starched

  1. Step 1

Fold starched napkin into thirds to form a rectangle. (If you're using a square napkin, you'll need to fold in half, and then fold in half again to get a long rectangular shape.)

  2. Step 2

Crease in half to create a center line for reference; fold top corners down along this line.

  3. Step 3

Fold up from bottom corners along dotted lines.

  4. Step 4

Bring left and right edges together on center line.

  5. Step 5

Flip upside down and over. Turn up bottom point.

  6. Step 6

To fasten: Fold left and right corners back; tuck one corner into the pocket of the other. Pull out bunny ears first; open up base.

I found the directions quite easy and they came out adorable. The only thing I think I did differently is to tie them with ribbon to coordinate with my table. Thank you for the great idea! Happy Easter

need a video, these instructions are not clear and seem like steps are missing.

I can follow the instructions until the last step. Can we have a little more information and/or pictures??

these directions are impossible to follow

Sorry you're having difficulty. Here's another way that might help you complete the project:
Fold starched napkin into thirds as shown and press folds with an iron. Next, follow steps 2, 3, 4, & 5 as described in the directions. Press after each new fold. Fold left and right corners back. Press again firmly. Pull out bunny ears first; open up base. With pressing, the shape holds itself up without the "tuck one corner into the pocket" step.

Instructions are VERY confusing, esp as you have to go through image 1-7 at top to see diagrams. Even so, I recall they're quite confusing. I am copying and pasting the diagram images into a word doc; they don't print.

My son whipped these up for our Easter table. He found the diagrams by clicking on the little arrows under the picture.
    Made us all smile!

Martha, I'm a little disappointed with your staff that they couldn't come up with better diagrams of how to fold a napkin into bunny fold

Click on the picture of the folded napkin above. There are seven pictures associated with it, including the folding diagram with the dotted lines.

reguarding bunny fold napkins....the picture is inspiring, but the instructions are confusing to me as step 3 indicates that I must fold my napkin along a dotted napkins do not come with dotted lines. Is there supposed to be a folding diagram with these instructions?
