Sparkling Valentine's Day Centerpiece

The roses in Alice in Wonderland were painted red, but you can jazz up yours with a shiny coating of glitter.

Introduction

Cover the entire flower or just the edges of the petals. Either way, the blossoms will be dazzling -- especially by candlelight. For a sophisticated look, choose glitter in a shade that closely matches the petals of the rose.

Tip: Work on a protected surface, and place glitter in a baking cup for ready access. After glittering, stand stems in a vase of water to let glue dry before arranging.
