Robot Pop-Up Card

Materials

Steps

  1. Step 1

    Print black and white or color robot clip art and card base template onto letter-size heavy card stock. (The black and white can be colored in with crayons or markers as desired).

  2. Step 2

    Use a bone folder to score and fold on dashed lines. Cut solid lines with craft knife.

  3. Step 3

    Glue tab A into slot A. Glue tab B onto area B on base.

  4. Step 4

    Fold and close folds C and D; add a small amount of glue to areas E, F and G.

  5. Step 5

    Fold base closed and flatten pop-up. Add pressure to pop-up area until glue is dry (approximately 30 seconds).

  6. Step 6

    Open pop-up and glue leg tabs H and J to areas H and J.

  7. Step 7

    Add birthday hat, cupcake, and gift for “Happy Birthday Bot,” or add heart for “Valentine Bot.” Decorate background and cover of card as desired.

    I didn't get to watch but would love to see the demonstration, assuming he demonstrated. Any chance of putting up the clip? Also instructions are one thing but a visual picture of what it was would be really nice! Have loved David's popup books for a long time. I always give them as baby gifts to start building fun libraries of children's books!
