Color Blocks How-To

Materials

  • Floral foam
  • Square or rectangular vessel
  • Floral shears
  • Forsythia branches
  • Hammer

Steps

  1. Step 1

    Color Blocks How-To : Cut foam that has been soaked in water to fit snugly in vessel.

    Cut branches to desired height. Remove the buds from the base of the branches as high up as the top of the vessel. Pound the base of each branch with hammer to splinter it (this will allow easy water uptake).

    Insert branches, beginning in the center and working outward, packing them in tightly. Fill in the areas where branches are missing buds with additional
