Time to show a little love to your dust-collecting baubles. For a romantic redo, tie a ribbon to both ends of a short necklace (or a doubled long one), and snip ribbon to tie a bow. Or for a modern look, attach a heavy chain to a beaded necklace: Hook the necklace’s clasp to one end of the chain, and then, using needle-nose or jewelry pliers, twist open the link at the other end of the chain. Connect it to the necklace, and twist it shut again.

This is such a clever idea. Lately, I've been not wearing many of my favorite necklaces, because I don't like the length. Now I can change them to how I see fit! I've blogged about my own here: http://www.joyofallcrafts.com/2012/02/necklace-redo-living-martha-stewart.html
