Go for Color Eye Pencils
You can’t go wrong with basic black and brown, but an unexpected flourish of color can really enhance eyes. Rich violet liners work well with hazel, green or light brown eyes by adding contrast without being overly garish; dark navy hues intensify pale blue and gray eyes; and forest greens highlight amber flecks in the irises of deep brown eyes. Soane suggests using gel and liquid formulas, which can wear for up to eight hours depending on the brand. “If you have a hard time working with gels, sweep a matching powder shadow over the liner once you’re done and gently smudge it. This will soften any bumps or imperfections,” she says.
