Apple Crepes

Slice up basic crepes to create a one-of-a-kind, pastalike breakfast dish with this recipe from chef Jody Williams. Also try: Ham and Brie Crepes, Nutella Crepes

Apple Crepes

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 apple, peeled, cored, and julienned
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts
  • Pinch cinnamon
  • Pinch salt
  • 5 Basic Crepes


  1. Heat butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add apples, sugar, walnuts, cinnamon, and salt; cook, stirring, until apples are softened.

  2. Meanwhile, stack crepes and roll up into a cylinder; cut crosswise into 1/4-inch-thick strips. Add julienned crepes to skillet and toss to combine; cook until crepes are heated through and slightly crisp. Serve immediately.
