How to Make the Holiday Harvest Hurricanes

  1. Clean hurricanes with glass cleaner.
  2. Apply stencil tape around bases and tops of hurricanes to frame areas for bands of metallic color. Cover all areas you do not wish to paint with kraft paper.
  3. Follow gloss spray kit instructions (which come with the kit) to mix a metallic color with the gloss enamel medium. Apply 3 to 4 thin even coats onto hurricanes. Let dry completely between coats. Repeat on all hurricanes, alternating metallic colors. Let dry, then carefully remove tape and kraft paper.
  4. Position stencils on hurricane and secure in place with stencil tape. Pour a small amount of each paint color in palette. Lightly load foam pouncer with a single paint color, then dab over openings in stencil. Apply a second coat of paint if necessary. Remove stencils and let paint dry. Reposition stencils and apply paint to complete your design. Work with one paint color at a time and let paint dry before layering designs or colors.
