So clever! Costumes are usually only worn once or twice, so it seems such a shame to spend a fortune on something that really won't see much use (and let's face it, most of the time a Halloween costume is being worn, it is in the DARK!). I love that these crafters are stretching themselves, without stretching their budget!
Yay! I had the pleasure of being in the audience for this show, and it was great. The costumes were way more creative and fun than store-bought. Everyone loves DIY on a budget!!
Adorable costumes and great creative ideas! I especially loved the gnome costume- that little boy was so cute too! Great ideas for affordable costumes.
Wow jamie really? Snob much??
I think this episode was great! The dollar store is readily available to anyone and everyone. Sooooo many people have felt the crunch of the economy and this is one of many amazing solutions put forth by the crafting and DIY community.
Great challenge! Really shows what you can do with a little creativity and not much $. Leave it to Martha to know just what crafters are needing this season!
Fantastic idea and a true test of one's creativity to use products from the Dollar Store. I love seeing what people can do with ordinary items and especially in this economy, it's wonderful to see Martha get that! Thanks for being inclusive of everyone's budget!
What a fun challenge and a perfect one especially in the current economy. I enjoyed watching your team shop and come up with very affordable ideas that anyone can do.
Oh My God..... I haven't watched Martha in a while, but today I saw this episode.... Really Martha.... making costumes with DOLLAR STORE products.....I was horrified... the Martha I love would NEVER set foot in a dollar store... never mind allow those hideous outfits on her show? Maybe one of her beloved pets is being held for ransom by Hallmark and she is being forced to stoop this low. Come on Martha, this can't be up to your standards.
