From simple and chic to bright and unexpected, we've pulled together some of our favorite craft projects for making bracelets.
Turn a brooch that you no longer wear into something new with this bracelet. Pick a heavy ribbon made out of velvet or another thick fabric to hold the weight of the piece, and tie in a bow to fasten.
There are several different styles of bracelets you can make with a simple chain. Here, we've created one that is tied simply with an elegant ribbon, one that uses a traditional clasp, and one that is made completely out of ribbon with a chain accent. Which one will be your favorite?
When is a braid not a braid? When you use this technique. Referred to as mystery, magic, or trick braiding, it involves manipulating a single piece of leather with two slits into a braided strip.
Use leftover string from crafts projects and some imagination to make a bunch of these textured bracelets.
Use any color of multirow sequin trim to create this sparkly accessory.
You can make a bracelet or belt with these easy directions. All you need is some grosgrain ribbon and D-rings to get started.
Collect pretty buttons and string them on elasticized cords to create stretchy bracelets to be worn or swapped. Shank buttons (with smooth faces) overlap jauntily, while standard buttons, strung through the holes in their centers, lie flat against the wrist. Create one to match every outfit.
Glass and ceramic are used to make this pretty ocean-blue-green bracelet. You'll need sea glass pieces of the same size and color for this project.
This sophisticated leather cuff from Gillian Stevens of Dewdrop Designs can be made for less than $15. Give to fashion-forward friends for a stylish handmade holiday gift.
Use ribbon and other trims as bases for beautiful bracelets. Mix and match them with store-bought beads for an eclectic look. We used cotton webbing and uncut fringe as the bases for these three cuffs.
These chunky, cheerful bangles are so simple, you can wear them the same day you make them. Use a basic decoupage process to add bright tissue-paper stripes to inexpensive wooden bracelets.
You can use any color of strung sequins to create this wrap bracelet.
Add an eerie element to your look with these fun bangles. Your friends won't believe their eyes.
If you find yourself with leftover yarn, this is a good project to make use of it -- even if you can't knit. This unique, stylish bracelet is simple to make and is a great gift idea.
