Buttermilk Banana Smoothies

Sweetened with dried dates and a touch of honey, a banana smoothie makes a quick, nutritious breakfast.

  • 1 cup low-fat buttermilk
  • 2 ripe bananas, cut into 2-inch-thick rounds
  • 11 dried pitted dates
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup ice


  1. Step 1

    Blend all ingredients in a blender on high speed until mixture is smooth and ice is finely ground. Pour into two glasses.

    This is by far the best smoothie I've ever had and they are also a great way to use buttermilk.
